The Idaho Athletic Trainers Association established in 2001, the Outstanding Athletic Trainer Award. The award recognizes the outstanding achievements of its membership.  The award is an opportunity to thank these special members for advancing the cause of athletic training and the Idaho Athletic Trainers Association. The award is presented annually at the Summer Meeting and Symposium. The Idaho Athletic Trainers' Association established an Undergraduate Scholarship in 1997 in response to the growing interest and numbers of collegiate athletic training students. The intent of the scholarship is to encourage Idaho's brightest athletic training students to pursue their educational goals at an Idaho College or University. The scholarship is awarded annually at the NWATA District 10 meeting (Idaho business meeting) to an athletic training student attending an Idaho College or University. The amount of the scholarship is $500. The funding for the scholarship has been maintained by the fees collected from the annual IATA Summer Meeting and Symposium. Idaho's College and University Student-Athletic Trainers are also encouraged to take part in the NWATA / District 10 Student Trainer Seminar.  See your Curriculum Director for more details.
